Hi Chris,

i'm a pro photographer working in press and specialized in sport photography.
As you know, we have to edit our pictures very quickly after shooting.
Is it possible to download from the end of the card ? ex: first dowloaded pictures are for example :EOS0297, EOS0296.... and last dowload EOS001
Let me explain it with an example: In the case of a whole day cycling race, i have such as 300 or more high def picture on my card, including the finish, medal ceremony wich are the last pictures taken in the day. The most urgent pictures to edit and wire are those, action picture and other stuff can be edit later.
It's a big wast of time to wait that the card is fully empty to edit the most urgent pictures.
It will be cool if you could add a feature like this and a checkbox in the main window .

Thanks,

Rico

Click on the file name column heading in the list of files to be downloaded, and the list will reverse its sort order. Then start the download. At least , this worked in my quick test. DLPro seems to download fom the beginning of the list to the end, in whatever order the list is in when the download starts.

I've found one of these to be an excellent investment:

http://www.delkin.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=164&cat=37&page=1

It's a PCMCIA adapter for your laptop.

I get 8 MB per second download (using DLPro) - and that seems to be only limited by the filesize (roughly 8MB files from my EOS 1D MkII).

Download times are no longer an issue for me (thanks to Chris for originally suggesting this).

BTW, your link (http://photorico.skyblog.com/) didn't work for me.

hope this helps!

cheers,

Matt

Hi, thanks for your post, i know this Delkin Reader, i'm using the ASKA model long time ago but ideal for me is a real "reverse sort" feature on DLPro

I know that in manual mode, DLPro seems to remember the sort settings from one session to the next. I haven't tried auto mode to see if it remembers manual settings or not.

Downloader Pro saves your display order preferences and uses the same settings next time you run it. It will do this whether you run it manually or automatically using Windows AutoPlay.
