NKRemote v1.3 and PSRemote v1.8 are now available for download.

These new releases add the following enhancements for photobooth shooting:

More flexible touchscreen options to photobooth mode and the ability to switch between different sets of photobooth settings
Added optional release.jpg screen which is displayed immediately before taking a picture in full screen photobooth mode
Added Ctrl+R keyboard shortcut in full screen photobooth mode to reprint the last print
A camera delay can now be entered in the photobooth settings to allow for older PowerShot models which may have a significant delay when taking photos (PSRemote only)

NKRemote v1.3 also includes the following changes:

Support added for the Nikon D80 and Nikon D300s
Automatically restarts live view display if it is canceled by the camera
Added NKRemoteLib.dll interface library which allows other apps and scripts to control the camera via the main NKRemote window
Added different sizes for zooming the live view window
Fixed a display problem in live view when loading a previously saved onion skinning backgrounds in portrait mode

These releases are available as a free upgrade for all registered users who purchased a license of the respective product within the last year. To upgrade please ensure no copies of the software are running and then download and install the new release. It isn't normally necessary to uninstall the old version first. However, if you have problems installing the new release please try uninstalling the old release and then reinstall the new release.

It may be necessary to press the refresh button on your web browser in order to see the updated pages on the website.

Note: Similar enhancements to the photobooth mode for DSLR Remote Pro for Windows should be available soon - when Canon release an SDK update to support the Canon EOS 7D.

Hi Chris,

Just a quick question regarding the new "release.jpg" feature. Do we need to create this file and add it into the application along side the other files (1.jpg, etc)?

Also, how will this feature work with the "taking.jpg" file? Does the "release.jpg" replace the "taking.jpg"?

I'm not at home to test this, but am very anxious to try it out

Thanks,

Dan

Yes, just create an image named release.jpg and put it in the photobooth images folder. The taking.jpg is displayed approximately 1 sec before the command to take the picture is sent to the camera whereas the release.jpg is displayed when the command is sent to the camera.

Is there an email list we can sign up for, so that we can receive an email when software updates are available?
