Is it possible to have audio as well as written commands in the photobooth sequence?

Not looked, but as far as I remember, yes. .wav files can be prompted with each step of the sequence.
Dig a bit in the online help files, I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Record .wav files with the same file name as the corresponding image; I.e., "ready.wav" and save them in same folder.

remember, that the guests will have to be able to hear these sound commands, so in an enclosed booth you will need speakers. Also remember that there will be loads of background sounds to counter.
