I have a strange problem with the files displayed on screen:

PSRemote V2.2 (just upgraded from 2.1.2 in case that was causing the problem)
Computer: Acer Aspire 1, 2GB ram
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Camera: Canon SX100is or G9

As we progress from 1.jpg to the taking sequence, taking.jpg appears too early - overlaid on the last portion of 1.jpg or 2.jpg or 3.jpg or 4.jpg.

Then there is black screen for about a second before the release.jpg appears.

I haven't encountered this problem before. My staff said it started about 4-6 weeks ago at an event.

Can you give me a clue?

The taking.jpg screen is displayed one second before the shutter release command is sent to the camera and then the optional release.jpg image is displayed. It sounds as though your taking.jpg image may be entirely black which would explain the black screen you're seeing one second before the release.jpg screen.
