Is there a way to automatically reset to the welcome screen, F6, to shut off the live view, after each session?

Client enters booth and sees welcome screen.
Touches screen and goes to ready screen.
Runs the booth.
Then after session reset to the welcome screen and shut off the live view?

use the free reset ahk script
you'll have to add a line of code for your results, pretty easy to do.

You can also do this using profiles e.g.
profile 1 (default profile): save the settings for this profile with live view disabled, a single touchscreen action to select profile 2 and set the photobooth images folder to display a suitable ready.jpg
profile 2: saved using the normal photobooth settings (live view enabled, touchscreen actions to start etc.)

The photobooth_reset_settings.ahk script can be downloaded from http://www.breezesys.com/articles/photobooth6.htm. You need to install AutoHotKey (a free download from http://www.autohotkey.com/) and edit the script to send F6. Then run the script before starting the booth.

Thank you Chris, I will look into this today but something that is getting confused, you say to press F6 but Im using a Touchscreen, how would I set it up so it shows the welcome screen without the live view, and then when the user presses the screen the live view comes on?

You can use the "Reactivate live view (F6)" touchscreen action. Or, if you are using the default profile method, you can define a touchscreen action to select profile 2.

Sorry, me again, I downloaded the Autohotkey and installed on my laptop, then I downloaded the Photobooth_AutoHotKey_Scripts.zip. I opened the zip file photobooth_reset_settings. I can see the script code but don't have a clue on "edit the script to send F6" or to add a line of code for the results

Please how can I edit ?

Thanks you for your help.

Thank you Chris!

I was able to figure it out but with out the ahk script. I did it by creating 2 profiles.

Now its working, and my camera is not heating up due that before Live view was always on and also it was draining the battery fast.

I've had a few emails asking about how to do this recently and so I've added a short page on the website describing how to do it using profiles:
http://www.breezesys.com/articles/photobooth_profiles.htm

There is also a link to it on the FAQ page:
