View Full Version : White balance not used for all images

I have BBP 1.1.3. I choose three thumbnails, the one with gray card last. I set the white balance and choose "use this white balance for all images". I choose "convert selected. " My custom white balance is only used for the image showing in the window, the white balance for the other two are "auto". Am I doing something wrong or is this a program defect?

Are you converting raw files from a PowerShot camera other than the G6, Pro1, S60 or S70? There is a bug in the Canon PowerShot SDK which prevents the white balance from being read from the first conversion and used for the next one which affects "older" PowerShot models. I have reported the problem to Canon and I'm hoping it will be fixed in the next SDK update (due in June).

Yes, I'm using an S40. Is there any way to work around this problem?

Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do until Canon fix the problem in the SDK or provide a workaround. The only thing I can suggest at the moment is to use BreezeBrowser v2.9 which uses an older version of the Canon SDK which doesn't have this bug.
