Thumbs up Best way to reprint images

    Hey Chris.

Let's assume that a client asks to reprint a photo taken 10 minutes ago.

    1) I thought I could use a second monitor (extended display) to find the photo, show it to the client, and print it out without having to disrupt the the photobooth operation. But when I open the image from the extended monitor or even right click and select "print", the confirmation message pops us on the touch screen, while the photobooth is in use. Is there a way around it?

    2) Is there another option for this this? For example, if WiFi is available, can I use another computer or an iPod to view and print images?

    3) Which way would you recommend?

Windows is a single user system which means you can't have simultaneous user input from the photobooth screen and a second screen. The simplest option would be to use a second computer to access photos via a shared folder. Otherwise you'll need to interrupt photobooth operation while you locate the photo to reprint.

In this case I would like to use an iPod (connected via WiFi) to view and print images. Can anyone recommend an app for this?

Do you use a printer that cuts 4x6 in half? Do you guys think PrintCentral will work with this printer?

P.S. Lorne, do you use the Pro version or regular? Was it hard to set up?

I do use a HiTi with strip cutting, but I don't offer strips. Don't like them. I am not sure if you can. I just set up a copy of the driver in Windows and set it's default paper size to the 2x6. Now when I run Printcentral, I see both printer drivers. So, I guess you can, but I haven't tested it.

I don't have Pro. They use to have a matrix that showed all the differences, but I couldn't find it. Not hard to set up. You have a Windows server-like app they give for free. You install that first. Then when you fire up the iPod app, assuming both PC and iPod are on the same network, the app finds the server. The help file is builtin and gives all the direction you need.

Ask away if you have troubles.

Not really, it's not something I've looked into much. Some people use an iPad app called Photo Party Upload, though some people don't like the fact that it is subscription based.
